CurseForge Cannot Import the .mrpack — Here's Why

You are not doing anything wrong

The CurseForge desktop launcher has never supported the Modrinth .mrpack format. There is no setting that enables it. The official Reddit answer to "how do I import .mrpack on CurseForge?" is, literally, "You can't."

The correct workflow

  1. Convert .mrpack to .zip

Use our browser-based converter. The output is a standard ZIP CurseForge can work with.

  2. Create a blank CurseForge instance

Match the modpack's Minecraft version and loader.

  3. Extract the ZIP into the instance folder

Right-click instance → Open Folder, then drop the ZIP contents in.

  4. Launch

Why CurseForge won't add native support

Modrinth and CurseForge are competing platforms; cross-format support is not a development priority. Hence the third-party converter route.
